Downstairs, our lively bar offers cold Coopers Ale, fine Aussie wines by the glass, numerous cocktails with a unique Aussie twist, and a bloody loud jukebox with loads of old and new Australian music (doesn’t anybody remember Daryl Braithwaite?). The rough-hewn granite walls, the low ceilings, the Southern Cross patterned into the floor, and the last operational coal fire oven in downtown Manhattan impart a rustic and relaxed feel, not unlike the saloon bars of our favourite pubs back home. The casual bar menu, ranging from the traditional meat pies and pasties to the zestier fare of fish and chips and salads, is available till late every day. And not to forget sports from back home, the creek bar at Eight Mile Creek plays host to all the biggest events… from International rugby and one-day/test cricket to Aussie Rules football, Davis Cup tennis, and the National Rugby League.
